AB - Purpose: The purpose of this study is to seek the development direction of youth activities by preparing youth activities, policy directions, and specialization measures for youth activities in the region based on the needs of the youth. Methodology: To this end, a survey was conducted on 1987 youths in Gyeonggi-do on the activities desired by the youth, the facilities needed in the region, the understanding and awareness of youth activities, the perception of support for youth activities, and types of support for youth activities in the COVID-19 era, and FGI was conducted on 10 teenagers. Findings: The results are as follow. First, the activities that local youth facilities want to make and provide in the future are activities to enjoy rest and leisure, adventure activities, and career guidance activitiesrather than for a special purpose. Second, when it comes to the type of activity that youth want and the request for a youth guide, most of the youth wanted an activity that could show their initiative to some extent rather than simple participation. Third, as for the facilities that youth want to be built in the local area, there was a large demand for career experience facilities, cultural and artistic activity facilities, smart health care specialized facilities, and sports facilities. Fourth, through FGI, it showed demands such as promoting youth facilities, actively promoting self-directed and experience-enhancing programs for adolescents, the need for moving activities such as career area programs and physical activities, and preparing. Conclusions: Based on these results, it was concluded that various activities that can demonstrate youth initiative and career and physical activities should be provided for the development of youth activities, efforts to improve youth facilities, and portfolio creation should be provided. The significance of this study can be found in that it suggests the necessity and direction of youth activities through the needs of the youth.
