In this paper, based on a pilot study, the fund support for technology development and support
for marketing, which occupy the biggest part among the government support, are chosen as
independent variables. And nurturing of human resources, improvement of competitiveness, profitability, and
increase in technological properties, which are relatively peculiar elements of e-business, are selected as
dependent variables.
We carried out a survey of CEOs and executives of e-business companies that had received the government
support. The survey results reveal that the government’s support for technology development positively affects
improvement of competitiveness, profitability, and increase in technological properties while support for
marketing has a meaningful effect on improvement of competitiveness and increase in technological properties,
but no effect on profitability.
