ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study is to identify current trends and issues in the field of Audiovisual Translation in Korea and to offer to offer suggestions for future research in the field. The article is divided into three sections. First, the history of Audiovisual Translation research is briefly examined. Second, research articles published in various Translation Studies related journals in Korea were systematically analyzed according to publishing year, research theme, research theme by year, text genre, source/target language combination and translation method. Finally, conclusions are drawn and brief observations are made about the current status of research. The study concludes with suggestions and implications for future research in the field of Audiovisual Translation Studies in Korea.
