ABSTRACT

This study is a case study of Kimhae Village Play School, a village school that specializes in games organized by the Kyongnam-do Office of Education. We will focus on the background and the process of participation through interviews with parents involved in the school, and draw educational implications from the school's statement on the activities. Common interests in education regarding the background and the process of participating in the town play school have become involved in the areas of their individual lives, making it a matter of preference for the children's principal interviews with their teacher. As an educational implication as a village's educational community, the benefits and plans to improve the community as a medium for play could be drawn up and the meanings of the community was given. The Kimhae Village Play School created a community free from major complaints and conflicts along with the characteristics of the medium used for play by parents, and made a remarkable achievement of a cooperative association. Such positive participation led to the awareness and desire to participate in politics to improve education.
