ABSTRACT

A variety of activities are important factors influencing career adolescence. Depending on whether it is positively formed in various activities, it is necessary to study how it can improve career identity and how it can affect you. The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of adolescents' experience activities and community awareness among social and contextual factors on their career development and identity formation. To this end, this study used data from the Korea Youth Panel Survey (KYPS: Korea Youth Panel Survey) collected by the National Youth Policy Institute (NYPI) for middle school students. In order to achieve this goal, the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey tracked the overall growth and development of students who were in the first and fourth grades of elementary school and the first grade in middle school in 2010, and tracked and accumulated data every year for seven years until 2016. The purpose is to go out, and the data for the third year (2012) of the Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey used in this study are data for 2,351 adolescents and their parents who were constructed as the final sample of the first year's survey.As a result of the main study, it was found that activities in various areas of experience and community awareness mediate the development of youth's career identity. Based on these research results, the significance of this study is as follows. First, we found the effect of youth's experiences and various activities in community awareness on establishing a sense of self and career identity in adolescence. Second, social consensus is needed to enable youth to develop self-actualization and career plans. Third, it is necessary to find ways to induce interest and involvement in society and others in various areas so that youth can develop and establish self-identity and career identity through direct and indirect community participation
