Background&Purpose: This study is to verify the mediating effect of community consciousness in the effect of adolescents' perception of local communities on career development capabilities in order to improve adolescents' career development capabilities. Methodology: To clarify this purpose, it was conducted for 660 middle school students in Changwon for two weeks in November 2020, and SPSS 21.0 was used to analyze the collected data, and the analysis method was conducted by conducting independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. Findings: First, it was found that community perception had a positive effect on career development capabilities. Second, it was found that community consciousness had a positive effect on career development capabilities. Third, it was found that community awareness had a positive effect on career development capabilities, and community awareness mediated it. Conclusions: Through this study, it was confirmed that in order to improve adolescents' career development capabilities, positive community perception and community consciousness affect beyond youth individuals, families, and schools. It is expected that all members of the community will be able to find ways to make efforts to foster youth's career development capabilities in the future.
