AB - The purpose of this study is to identify current retention (possibility) and future needs (necessity) of Competency that affect the successful performance of youth worker. To this end, 102 youth workers and 104 adolescent related majors were surveyed to confirm their level of possibility and necessity. The results of the study are as follows. First, there was a difference in the possibility and necessity of competency of youth workers and those who majored in youth-related studies. Second, there were differences in IPA analysis results. On this basis, Firstly, the curriculum for youth-related studies should be organized based on the competency of youth workers. Second, support is required for the area of investment with high needs but low retention. Third, it proposed strengthening the capacity of the budget management area.
