ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to confirm the effects of Korea Achievement Award program, youth' psycho-social maturity, a self-growth program that seeks dreams through the process of achieving their own goals. To that end, 100 elementary and middle school students in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province were organized into experimental groups and control groups. Experimental group youths participated in the Korea Achievement Award program and carried out the co-operation process. The controlled group youth did not participate in the Korea Achievement Award program. The analysis results are as follows. First, there was a significant increase in psycho-social maturity of youths who participated in the Youth Self-Protection Award program. Second, participation in the Korea Achievement Award program and psycho-social maturity of youths were interactive. Third, Korea Achievement Award program was approaching a large effect size (Cohen's d), and aesthetic sensibility had an intermediate effect. In the future, there will be a need to structure the Korea Achievement Award program, which is more effective in improving psycho-social maturity of youths.
