ABSTRACT

Covid-19 has effected a lot in Korean society. In particular, youth centres and youth work agencies are having struggles in the management of youth work due to the for the first time experiences for all. This study tried to find the ways and development of youth work in the new era which had initiated by Covid-19. This study aims firstly, to investigated the issues around young people caused by Covid-19. The second aim is to find out the problems of young people and youth work. In order to achieve the research aims, this study analysed the official documents from South Korea Youth Work Agency, European Commission, and the Council of Europe. Research finding are firstly, there were universal problems of youth work around the world especially funding for the youth work management. Secondly, this research found that local, national and international governments should work together to overcome aftermath of Covid-19. As a result, this study suggests the reconceptualisation of youth work such as digital youth work, and the support from the government to preserve and make youth work effective for the future.
