ABSTRACT

This study aims to propose a training model to enhance students' reformulation competence of Consecutive Interpretation AB. The analysis of five students' IPDR(Integrated Problem and Decision Reporting) performed as homework for Consecutive Interpretation AB I/II and Specialized Interpretation(Social Affairs/Culture) was proceeded and the result was categorized in terms of comprehension & analysis of source text, note-taking and foreign language expression. To develop the reformulation competence, students need to self-evaluate their interpretation performance in terms of interpretation process and correct their fault in order to find the balance between the fidelity of source discourse and the norm of target discourse. To this end, the author proposes an integrated training model based on IPDR to coordinate the teaching in the classroom and students' learning activities.
